We are based at the top of Cape York, in Seisia, a Torres Strait Islander community in the Northern Peninsula Area a mere 140km from Papua New Guinea.
We are extremely passionate about the area, which is why we want to connect people from the mainland to the Torres Strait to immerse themselves with culture, tradition and the rich history that we love.
We are currently offering our 3 Island tours, Fishing Charters and we are currently working on something incredible over at Albany Island.
Cape York Adventures was established by John and Sam Charlton in 1996 and has since been taken over by Dave who spent many years prior working under John, gaining vital knowledge and experience of the area.
When the opportunity arose for Dave to purchase the business it was a no brainer, having fallen in love with the area and the people in it, it was a sure thing this was something that he wanted.
In September 2020 saw me, a regular CYA guide purchase the business from John and Sam.
I've always been a mad keen fisherman and adventurer, travelling around Australia for years, working and exploring. Plus travelling and backpacking to some 30 odd countries around the world including places like Tibet, East Timor and Alaska.

Albert has grown up working on boats alongside his brother and under the guidance of his dad fishing for squid, shark and scallops. Years of experience means that you will be in safe hands.
